Rich Dumas is the President of R & K Custom Homes. His creativity and ability to think outside of the box are complemented by his background in business management, financing, residential property management, and sales. Rich’s expertise and valuable insight in the home building in Greensboro NC, remodeling and real estate side of the building industry began in 1992 from his experience with buying and renovating homes coupled now with his over 23 years in the building industry as the owner and general contractor for R&K Homes. He values communication with the homebuyer, generating a greater understanding of expectations and needs. Rich is resourceful and works with homebuyers to ensure that expectations are being met and exceeded throughout the entire home building process.
Kathy Dumas is the Vice President of R & K Custom Homes. Her background in sales management and public relations is a strong foundation for assisting homebuyers with the design and building process. Having owned and operated an exclusive decorating shop for many years, Kathy utilizes her design knowledge and passion to guide homebuyers through their new home selections. Detail-oriented, with an intuitive sense of design, Kathy will match design options based on the homebuyer’s lifestyle and personality. She wants homebuyers to enjoy the home selection process, and she loves to help others bring their new home vision to life.
Kristen Dumas joined the R & K team as a Design and Customer Relations Manager in May of 2016. She is the middle daughter of Rich and Kathy and has watched and learned from them for years. She has more than 7 years’ experience with R&K and as a previous Residential Sales Representative for both tile and counter-tops. Kristen is a jack of all trades as she has been in the medical industry for the past 5 years but has now rejoined our team to learn and train in the business. Her positive attitude, keen design sense, and energetic drive will keep this office going for years to come.
The little guy is Kingston, he is the newest member of our team. He is a French Bulldog. As unique as his color, he brings a lot of laughs to the office. Riley is his role model and like her, he enjoys new faces coming through the office door. He greets everyone with a smile and kisses. He and Koko are the R&K office security, greeting clients at the top of the steps with a hello.
Paul McMinn joined the R & K team in February 2012 and is our Field Operating Manager over custom homes in Greensboro NC. He brings over 35 years of experience, starting as an apprentice carpenter under his father in the family construction business. After progressing through every aspect of home building in the family business, he relocated to Greensboro working as a Site Superintendent for the last 15 years. Paul is dedicated; detail-oriented and very hands-on in each home. His extensive knowledge of the home building process makes the process easier for each homeowner that buys from R & K. He loves the challenge of keeping on schedule and on budget. Paul enjoys family first, fishing, hunting, and NASCAR.
Ryan is our new Assistant Superintendent. Ryan is a vital piece of our team. He brings a positive attitude to his working environment and loves what he does. Ryan came to us after a long year of searching hard for a perfect match. He has class and good work ethics. He has a background in a little bit of everything and we are happy to have him.
Riley is our office mascot. She is a blue Weimaraner. Riley has been part of the office staff since she was a pup, diligently greeting and welcoming each person with her tail wagging and sharing the teddy bear (“baby”) in her mouth as they enter the office. Everyone who has ever been to our office knows and loves Riley 🙂
